How I made My U Part Wig

Image
How I make my U Part Wig Hey guy, Sorry that the U Part wig post is so late, but I hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Spring Break  where ever you are. I know in the US, you guys are now on Summer break. I had family over for the Easter holiday, which was great 😊 I had a lot to do, I did my two nieces hair and I started a new wig for my mum but couldn't finish it because I ran out of hair 😞. And I completely forgot to take picture of my step by step process to making the wig.  But I will do my best to explain it as easy as possible.          So the first U Part Wig I made was half made as it was a weave wig that I had brought a few years ago. The weave wig came in two parts I.e. the bottom piece; which covers the back and sides and the top piece; which covered the crown.      So the first thing I did was unpick the tracks from the crown piece which I then used to make the wig as it was the same hair.  Step 1 : measure you wig cap/ wig net an

U Part Wig

Ok, so I've been wearing weaves for about 7yrs off and on. Sometimes I would add tracks for fullness or I would have it as a Ponytail.               But for the past 4yrs I've been wearing weaves because I've gone natural. I started off with a friend doing my hair for me as she was a hairdresser, but we both moved away and I started doing my own hair. Then my mum said that she found a hairdresser that was  an old friend of hers.    This lady did my hair once.......and once only. She did a weave with minimal leave out at the top, but she messed up my sides so bad I wanted to cry. She sewed the track to the braid and then put(tucked) the track under the braid which pulled on my hair line that my hair fell out. So from then on I started doing my own weave. Which not only saves time, but it also saves money and also saves me from getting mad at people when my hair falls out or lose my sides. I like being able to switch up my hair style, so I watch alot of hair videos on Y

On Repeat

On Repeat. Ok so I know my first posts were all about fashion and they will continue to be about fashion and other things girly...(but not girly girly...loool) But I had to do a post on some of the music I've been playing this new year...or should I say the past 28 days.( can you believe its nearly February...time sure does go fast. Ok so I'm an 80's baby, and I grew up listen to a whole bunch of Lovers  Rock, reggae,  Soca, R'n'B ect. My favorite R'n'B group was Boyz ll Men, but my play list is a bit of everything. The past month I've been listening to Nicki Minaj new album ' The Pink Print '. And for me this is her best work ever. I truly felt the passion and all the emotion she put into it. I closed my eyes and listen to track 1(All Things Go) for a 2nd time and I could see it all play out. I could see Nicki at that time, the words really came alive. So my favorite “The

The Joys Of Packing a Suitecase......

Image
Suitcase Fun It's so much fun packing a suitcase....loool...joking...it so isn't, not when you have so much things you need to pack and it all has to weight 23kg.  I mean I know how to pack a suitcase, but this is something different. It's turning out to be one of my hardest packing moments.  I don't like packing when I have so much to pack. Packing to go back home is always a challenge....cause I think I always buy to much. My first hardest packing moment was back in 2009/10 when you could bring two cases at 23kg each (if I'm correct). And that's what I did, but what I didn't know was that the airline was changing the baggage rules in the New Year to only one case at 23kg, and  you had to pay for any additional case. So my sister and I both had two  cases each at the start of our trip and we had to both leave with ONE- and it wasn't easy...loool. Just thinking about it is bringing back memories of how we had to work out what to pack and what

Kima's Florida Fashion Finds

Fashion Finds Like all women, I LOVE to shop....even if its just window shopping. I like looking at what the store have new in and what they have on sale.... Fashion has been a great passion of mine. So much so I went to college to study Fashion 3yr ago. Studying fashion really opened my eyes up to so much different things. So now when I go shopping, I am so open to different things because now I know that the clothes don't make YOU fashionable, but YOU make the clothes fashionable.                               "YOU wear the clothes, the clothes don't wear YOU"  For Christmas I went to Florida, and boy did I shop.....I wanted to buy the whole mall, but due to only being able to have one sutecase with the weight of 23kg(50lb) I couldn't buy everything :( But here are some of my first (Florida Fashion) shopping finds :)                                                                   H&M Tank Tops....
